We arrived at La Romana International Airport La Romana International Airport, La Romana on July 21st and cleared customs quickly. A private transfer took us straight to Casa de Campo Resort & Villas Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, La Romana. After checking in, we settled into the rhythm of the property with a drink at La Caña Bar & Restaurant La Caña Bar & Restaurant, La Romana.
By the third day, we were ready for the golf course. We played the Teeth of the Dog Golf Course Teeth of the Dog Golf Course, La Romana, which lived up to its reputation with seven holes right on the ocean. We grabbed lunch at Lago Restaurant Lago Restaurant, La Romana before heading over to the Marina Casa de Campo Marina Casa de Campo, La Romana to walk the docks and look at the yachts. We finished the evening with dinner at SBG Casa de Campo SBG Casa de Campo, La Romana.

The next day was about exploring the grounds. We spent the morning at Minitas Beach Minitas Beach, La Romana before wandering through Altos de Chavón Altos de Chavón, La Romana. It is a replica Mediterranean village with cobblestone streets and a decent museum. We stopped by St. Stanislaus Church St. Stanislaus Church, La Romana and eventually grabbed dinner at La Piazzetta La Piazzetta, La Romana and Chino Latino Chino Latino, La Romana.
For our final excursion, we took a private boat to Catalina Island Catalina Island, La Romana. We spent a few hours snorkeling at a spot called 'The Wall,' where the water is clearer than at the main resort beach. After swimming and lounging on the sand, we headed back to the mainland for a final dinner at Pubbelly Sushi Pubbelly Sushi, La Romana.
